It's 12:52am and I just finished my first paper of the week, due in eight hours. I just want to take a moment and say that I am enjoying these theo topics tres mucho. Who wouldn't want to write a paper about how instead of questioning, "Why does God allow terrible things to happen in this world?" we can ask, "How will our compassionate God transform our [inclusive of God] suffering?" (Johnson, She Who Is). Apparently I'm still writing the paper. :-)
Met up with Felix and Clara from France this afternoon. Having been "my only male friend in France," and genuinely hospitable, Felix will always have a warm place in my heart. He has no idea how much I appreciate him; he can't get past his excitement about being in NYC!
